Weight
and quantity of luggage allowed on international flights The general limit
is 20kg of luggage divided into a number of suitcases/bags. The limits are
subject to frequent changes and depend on the air company or IATA (International
Air Transport Association) regulations. It would be opportune, therefore to
contact your air company or travel agency. If your baggage is over the limit
in weight or dimensions, it will be subject to a surcharge which will vary from
one company to another.
Prohibited items in checked luggage
Compressed Gasses (inflammable, non inflammable, cooled, poisonous: butane,
oxygen, propane ed oxygen per auto respirators); Corrosive products; Explosives
(e.g. fireworks, flares, ammunition, gun bullets); Mercury thermometers; Substances
which, on contact with water emit inflammable gas; Infective substances (e.g.
Bacteria and live viruses); Poisonous substances (insecticides, herbicides,
arsenic e cyanide); Radioactive materials; Oxidant substances Magnetic
substances; Alarm devices. Arms and ammunition To
take aboard arms or ammunition you must first go to the police for the necessary
controls of the arms and to obtain the necessary documents. Once you have
the necessary authorisation, you must go to check in for boarding procedures.
